Capitol Hill Presbyterian Church (Seattle, WA) celebrates that God has given the gift of creativity, expressed in various artistic mediums through their arts ministry. They believe that God speaks through a wide array of creative abilities, including forms of art that might reach into mainstream culture and beyond artistic elements traditionally found in the church.
Muéo Arts is an outreach ministry at Church of the Redeemer (Atlanta, GA), dedicated to faithfully following Christ in restoring beauty to their community through the arts and other means, by partnering with other organizations to meet the needs of the community. Muéo Arts includes a gallery for artists’ work and a studio where artists of all skill levels are encouraged to create.
The Arts Ministry of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church (Arlington, VA) works with other established ministries (worship, outreach and mercy) to bear witness to the fact that the arts enrich every aspect of church life. The church office serves as an informal gallery, art is created to enrich themes being explored in the worship services, and members are encouraged to attend community cultural events and create arts events for the community.
Northland Church (Orlando, FL) runs the True North Foundation, a non-profit organization that exists to nurture the arts and education in Central Florida and beyond.
Park Street Arts aspires to make Park Street Church (Boston, MA) a quality center for artistic activities that engage, awaken and challenge the church and society to a higher calling in God. They seek to identify, connect, develop and enrich the church’s talents by sponsoring musical, literary, visual, and performance events.
The Arts Ministry of Church of the Redeemer (Snellville, GA) held its second annual Lenten visual arts offering this spring. Based on the theme “The Questions God Asks,” the exhibition was in seven sections and 18 artists participated. The ministry seeks to awaken the artists within the church and community, and to disciple artists.
Redeemer Presbyterian Church‘s Arts Ministry (NYC) seeks to build communities of artists where they can know and be known; provide opportunities for artists to create; and lead the Redeemer congregation to engage with art.
Sojourn Visual Arts is a group growing out of the ministry of Sojourn Community Church (Louisville, KY). They equip the artists within their church with the knowledge, skills, materials, and opportunities needed to create artworks that will express their faith, serve the church, and renew culture.
