Artists in Christian Testimony Intl’s objective is to see people around the – as they come to Christ – worship God and express their faith in their own language and cultural style, while mobilizing and training church and mission leaders to more effectively worship and communicate the Gospel through music and the arts.
Dianne Collard is the Europe Ministries Director for Artists in Christian Testimony Intl, where North American missionary artists are joining with European artists of faith to speak of God’s goodness, truth and beauty in the spiritual darkness of Europe through all forms of artistic expressions.
Deeply rooted in Eastern University’s commitment to social justice, the MA in Urban Studies degree teaches students how to bring about sustainable change in urban communities. The Arts in Transformation concentration prepares creative practitioners to transform communities through art-based community development. Students have used art to address injustices such as human trafficking, domestic violence, homelessness, and poverty.
For nearly ten years, the ministries of OM Arts International have been nurturing artists and pioneering avenues for them to serve in cross-cultural mission. Visual artists, dancers, musicians and recording technicians have employed their talents to support missionaries and local churches in serving their communities through a variety of artistic projects throughout Europe, the Middle East and a few locations in Asia.
Beth Sigsworth is facilitating art-based outreach, mission and worship opportunities through her work with Sanctuary Arts in northeastern England. Beth is a teaching artist who works in schools and churches, and she has led groups working together to develop community and church projects.
Byron Spradlin is the Founder and President of Artists in Christian Testimony Intl, a missions and ministry sending board with 240+ artists doing creative Kingdom ministry touching over 17 nations. His goal is to help mission agencies and churches become better places for artists. Byron also chairs the school of Worship, Imagination, and Arts Leadership at Williamson Christian College in Franklin, TN.
Greta Tom has volunteered at the Centro Cultural Batahola Norte, which aims to empower women and youth through education and the arts in Managua, Nicaragua. She is enrolled in Eastern University’s MA in Urban Studies/Arts in Transformation program and hopes to explore the use of Popular Education and Theater of the Oppressed methodologies.
